Alliance for Catholic Education/ University of Notre Dame Aaron Wall AmeriCorps member will serve as school teachers and principal leaders in under-resourced elementary and secondary schools primarily in the South and southwest. http://ace.nd.edu
Equal Justice Works Natalie Wasserman This programs provides law students with the opportunity to earn a $1000 AmeriCorps education award for dedicating their summer in a qualifying legal internship at a nonprofit, or public interest organization to provide legal services in communities across the country. www.equaljusticeworks.org
Habitat For Humanity Rebecca Hines AmeriCorps members are infused in local communities to increase the capacity of affiliates to serve as a connector, convener and catalyst in the community. Members serve in roles as construction crew leaders, volunteer coordinators, and family service coordinators. Members will also train and manage community volunteers, conduct community outreach efforts, strengthen partnerships, and support program activities. www.habitat.org
Hope Worldwide Ronald Barnes AmeriCorps members will serve in Title I schools with students who are a part of the Criterion-Referenced Competency (CRCT) testing population. National Bonner AmerCorps Program/ The College of New Jersey Christen Foell Members will provide education services such as youth mentoring, after-school programming, and adult education classes to 5000 children, youth and adults per year. www.tcnj.edu
National College Advising Corps Libby V. Morris AmeriCorps members will work to continue to increase the number of low-income, first-generation, and under-represented students entering and completing higher education. Members will be placed within institutions as college advisers in under-served high schools, and work in partnership with counselors, teachers, and administrators in communities across the country to provide the advising and encouragement students need to navigate the college admissions process. www.uga.edu
National Health Corps/ Southside Medical Center, Inc. David Williams AmeriCorps members will assist health center patients in enrolling into medication assistance programs and insurance programs. They will conduct outreach, support case management, and provide health education activities with both children and adults. www.southsidemedical.net
Notre Dame Mission Volunteers Katherine Corr AmeriCorps members will work to empower the economically disadvantaged through education and hands-on support. Members will also tutor children and adults, organize after-school enrichment activities, model and teach conflict resolution and parental effectiveness, and involve community professionals in the learning process. www.ndmva.org
Peace Corps Fellows Program/Teacher's College, Columbia University Nicolas Stahelin AmeriCorps members will teach full time at Title I schools. They will also work with principals and assistant principals to conduct teacher evaluations, curriculum development projects, resource allocation audits, and design specific improvement projects with supervisors. www.tc.edu
